Question - I have a broken pipe and water is going everywhere - how do I turn off the water?

Answer - A shut off valve should be located somewhere close to your water meter.  Open the box and inside should be a ball valve that will look much like the picture  here shown as Image "A", just turn the valve until it is perpindicular to the pipe, like Image "B" .
